Employee engagement survey deadline extended to Aug. 11; faculty engagement survey deadline remains Aug. 4

The 2018 WVU Medicine employee and faculty engagement surveys launched Monday, July 9, and the participation deadlines are quickly approaching.

The employee engagement survey deadline has been extended to Saturday, Aug. 11 (at 2 a.m.). The faculty engagement survey deadline remains Saturday, Aug. 4 (at 2 a.m.).

While some WVU Medicine hospitals, including J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, have conducted similar surveys in the past, this is the first system-wide employee engagement survey. Employees at all eight WVU Medicine hospitals will be asked to participate.

The faculty engagement survey is for Morgantown-area faculty only.

An engagement survey gives you the opportunity to share your opinions about working here. We want to know what’s working well – and areas of opportunity for change. Your feedback will help us become a better place for employees to work, physicians to practice medicine, and patients to receive care. It will drive change within the organization to build an engaged, patient-centered culture.

Read a Wright Stuff message from President and CEO Albert L. Wright, Jr., about the initiatives that have been implemented over the last two years as a result of employee input.

The surveys are being conducted by Press Ganey, an organization with more than 30 years’ experience supporting healthcare providers and organizations. Using a third-party vendor to conduct the survey ensures that all survey responses are completely confidential.

More details on the engagement surveys, including who’s eligible to participate, are available.
