Monthly Biostatistics Seminar for February 2018

Casey Jelsema, PhD, Assistant Professor, WVU Department of Statistics, will present "Research Snapshot: Spatial and Constrained Inference" as part of the the Monthly Biostatistics Seminar series. His presentation will be on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 10:50 – 11:50 am in ERMA 301.

Jelsema will be a faculty member in the SPH Department of Biostatistics next academic year and is interested in developing more collaborative relationships. This talk is an introduction of his research and will describe what areas he has worked in and what direction he would like to take going forward. Broadly speaking, Jelsema's research has involved three areas: Spatial Statistics, Constrained Inference, and Interdisciplinary Collaboration. He will briefly discuss each area to introduce the audience to that domain and describe in detail some of the projects from his current and recent work.
