Physician recruitment team wins award from 'Workforce'

The WVU Medicine/University Health Associates (UHA) physician recruitment team recently won a national Optimas Award from “Workforce” for its efforts to increase physician and faculty staffing during an organizational expansion that started in 2015 and continues due to demand for services and overall growth.

WVU Medicine/UHA Physician Recruitment earned a Gold Award for Vision and was recognized by the publication for their recruitment strategies. More details are featured in an article spotlighting WVU Medicine/UHA Physician Recruitment from the November/December issue of “Workforce.”

WVU Medicine was recognized among other national and global companies like AT&T, Siemens, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and other healthcare/education organizations, such as Baylor College of Medicine, Ottawa Medicine, Riverside Healthcare, and Rochester Regional Healthcare.

Established in 1991, the Optimas Awards are given annually by “Workforce” to recognize workforce management initiatives that achieve business results for the organization.
