University Healthcare Foundation donates an AED to Martinsburg High School

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – The WVU Medicine University Healthcare Foundation recently purchased an automated external defibrillator (AED) for Martinsburg High School’s Cobourn Field.

The Foundation donated an AED to the school several years ago for the gym but felt that with so many sporting events taking place at Cobourn Field, an additional AED was needed. Cobourn Field also serves as the official finish line for the Apple Trample 5K, an event sponsored by The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center and the University Healthcare Foundation.

From left to right, Teresa McCabe and John Beatty, University Healthcare Foundation representatives, are shown presenting the AED to Trent Sherman, principal at Martinsburg High School.
