WVU School of Public Health, national conservancy project looks at rail trail impact

How does the rail trail impact business in the greater Morgantown area? The West Virginia University Health Research Center, based at the School of Public Health, partnered with the national rail trails conservancy to survey companies.

“They are interested in figuring out what works and why in promoting business along trails — and in areas where the impact could be improved, how do you improve it,” Dr. Christiaan Abildso, program director of research and evaluation in the WVU Health Research Center, told The Dominion Post. “Even if people think they’re not impacted by the trail, we need to hear that too."
