Pape to lead communications efforts for WVU health promotion and wellness programs

Olivia Pape was recently selected to serve as communication specialist for West Virginia University’s health promotion and wellness programs, a system-wide initiative to coordinate and improve efforts in the areas of health and wellness.

Supported by a substantial gift from Natalie and Wes Bush, the Bush Fund for Health Promotion and Wellness is directed by Dean of Nursing Tara Hulsey, who has continued in her academic role while adding responsibilities as vice president of WVU for health promotion and wellness.

The program will initially focus on WVU, and its five campuses including those of WVU Medicine, such as student health, and the Health Sciences Center, and in the Division of Student Life, such as WellWVU, WVU Collegiate Recovery Program and the Carruth Center. 

Pape previously served as communications specialist for WVU’s School of Public Health. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and will complete a Master of Public Health Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences at WVU in December 2018.
