WVU Cancer Institute screening event set for May 18

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The WVU Cancer Institute will host a cancer screening from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 18, at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.

The event will offer free screenings for breast, oral, and skin cancer; low-cost screenings for lung and cervical cancer; and lab testing, including blood, urine, and metabolic panels.

Bonnie’s Bus will be available to offer mammography for women who have private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, as well as under or uninsured women who qualify for the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program. Grant funds and donations are available to pay for women without coverage so that no woman age 40 or over is turned away.

Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. For more information or to register, call 855-WVU-CARE, or visit https://wvumedicine.org/info/cancerscreening2019/
