The National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Global Health (CGH) seeks to support impactful research that leverages scientific opportunities afforded by global collaboration. The purpose of this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) is to highlight CGH’s interest in supporting studies aimed at fostering collaborations between researchers who are part of CGH’s funded research networks or partnering with researchers on CGH’s networks. Department of Defense - Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs General Announcements

Arthritis Research Program Fiscal Year 2024 Request for Information

Congress appropriated $10 million for a new peer reviewed Arthritis Research Program (ATRP) as part of the Department of Defense budget in the 2024 Further Consolidated Appropriations Act.  The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) will manage the ATRP according to congressional intent to support research relating to all forms of arthritis, including osteoarthritis, posttraumatic arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. FY24 ALSRP Resources

The FY24 ALSRP would like to highlight some resources available for potential investigators: 

***For FY24, the ALSRP will be using the letter of intent pre-application method for all posted funding mechanisms. Please note that this is a different method than used in previous years!

What is the difference between a letter of intent and a pre-proposal?

CDMRP utilizes two types of pre-application: a letter of intent, often called a LOI, and a pre-proposal. Each program announcement or PA will clearly state which type of pre-application that funding mechanism will be using.  (READ MORE)

PCORI – Patient Center Outcome Research Institute

New Funding Opportunity on Advancing the Science of Engagement in Research Opens May 7

On May 7, PCORI's Online System will open for the submission of Letters of Intent (LOI) for the Advancing the Science of Engagement in Research PCORI Funding Announcement (PFA) under Cycle 2 2024.

PCORI seeks to fund studies that build an evidence base on engagement in research, including:

  • Developing and validating measures to capture the structure/context, process, and outcomes of engagement in research.
  • Techniques that lead to effective engagement in research.
  • How effective engagement techniques should be modified and resourced for different contexts, settings, and communities to ensure equity in engagement and research.

LOIs are due on June 4, by 5 pm (ET), and applications are due on Sept. 4 by 5 pm (ET).

AHA Postdoctoral Fellowship

Proposal deadline: Thursday, September 5, 2024
Enhances the training of postdoctoral applicants who are not yet independent. The applicant must be embedded in an appropriate investigative group with the mentorship, support, and relevant scientific guidance of a research mentor.
